Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women out there from CASIS!
As we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world, let’s also take a moment to raise awareness about an important health issue that affects women disproportionately: cardiovascular disease.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death for women worldwide.

CVDs kill more women than all forms of cancer combined, and are 7 times deadlier than breast cancer. Despite this, there is still a significant lack of awareness and understanding of the unique risk factors and symptoms of heart disease in women.
One of the biggest challenges is that heart disease is often thought of as a “man’s disease.” This misconception can lead to delays in diagnosis and treatment for women, who may not recognize the symptoms or seek medical attention in time. Additionally, women often experience different symptoms than men, such as fatigue, which can be misinterpreted or dismissed as signs of stress or anxiety.

This Women’s Day, let’s work together to change the narrative around heart disease and women. We can start by educating ourselves and others about the risk factors, symptoms, and preventive measures for heart disease.
CASIS, we are convinced that Innovation and Technology, such as deep learning algorithms, can foster gender equality.

Let’s empower women to prioritize their cardiovascular health and live long, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Happy Women’s Day!
